Any and everyone is welcome to contribute to the TivoHelp.com Knowledge Base (hosted by swiki.net). No HTML coding skills are required. Please read below for sign-up instrurctions.
How to contribute
- Help me (Carlton Bale) keep the site updated and help other Tivo users by posting or updating how-to instructions signing-up to become a full-fledged editor of this site. Follow the process below:
- First, you will need to create an account at http://www.swiki.net, the site used to create this knowledge base.
- Secondly, browse to the page you want to edit, and click the edit button along the top of the page. It's as easy as that!
- An alternative method of contributing is to add information via the suggestion boxes at the bottom of each topic. This does not requrie a user account. All suggestions will (theoretically) eventually be incorporated into the body of the topic. However, signing-up to become an editor would be greatly appreciated and will be of more benefit to other vititors.
Ground Rules
- This site is in no way associated with TiVo Inc. or the TivoCommunity.com forum. However, I would like to follow some basic ground rules. Namely, no stealing of any services. This means:
- No instruction for or links to instructions for stealing Tivo Service
- No instruction for or links to instructions for stealing DirecTv Service
For Editors:
To edit pages within this Knowledge Base:
- All contributors must first login.
- Returning contributors will find it simpler to login by selecting the "Save my Password" option. After doing so, you will not need to login during your next visit.
- Use the Format Help link to the left for, well, formatting help.
Use Proper Formatting as Best You Can
- As the amount of information on the site grows, it may become difficult to navigate.
- If the information you're adding is a new topic, please create a new page on which to post the information.
- Please make sure the link to your new information page is placed under the correct and appropriate category(s).
Formatting Help
If you're having trouble creating a new page or formatting the information, use the "Format Help" link to the left. You will be able to view the format help while you are editing a page.
