Tivo Series 2 Networking
If you have a Tivo series 2, a low-cost USB-to-Ethernet adapter can be used. Only certain brands are compatible.
Tivo Series 2 Instructions
If you can connect to your tivo for your network but it is not finding your router or the internet to make daily calls, you may need to make sure the file route.tivo exists in the /sbin directory. If it does not, copy the route file to route.tivo . chmod 755 route.tivo . If you get a "read-only" error, see the "rs.sysinit section for mounting read/write and then mounting read/only.
