To open a terminal window to Tivo, the following steps must first be completed:

Install the telnet deamon on Tivo. See the software installation page for info.
Open a telnet session to Tivo. See the Windows programs page for instructions on using a Telnet client.
It is recommended that you install the tivo-bin command line programs so that more commands are available at the serial prompt. See the software installation page for info.
